Dr. R. G. Banks.
--In referring to this gentleman (late of Hampton, Va.,) in our issue of Wednesday last, we erroneously stated him to have been a Surgeon in the United States Army. Dr. Banks was, on several occasions, called upon to act as Surgeon of Fortress Monroe, but, we understand, was not a commissioned Surgeon in the Army of the United States.
He has now been commissioned as a full Surgeon in the Army of the Confederate States.
