rince of Wales landed at our levee yesterday morning, it began to be whispered about that a Cairo officer was on board, with a Louisianian, under arrest, whom he was taking to Illinois. The prisoner was named Alexander Norton, of the firm of Norton & Macauley, who had been arrested under a requisition from the Governor of Illinois.
