,000 rank and file. Most of the troops have left the fortress, and on Wednesday afternoon were encamped between Hampton and Newport News point. Among the passengers by the Georgiana, was Major Fay, one of Gen. Butler's staff. He was bearer of dispatches to Washington. Marylander at Harper's Ferry. Among the troops at Harper's Ferry and Point of Rocks are a regiment of Marylander, principally Baltimoreans, which has been organized with George H. Stuart, Jr., as Colonel; John Cushing, Jr., Adjutant; John E. Howard, Quartermaster; and Henry Sherrington, Assistant Quartermaster. It comprises nine companies.
