Resolutions.--The following resolutions were read and referred: By Mr. Rutherfoord, to enquire whether any, and if any, what further legislation be necessary, to give effect and force to the new edition of the Code of Virginia, provided for by the act of Assembly passed 19th March, 1860, entitled "An Act providing for publishing a second edition of the Code of Virginia;" by Mr. Bass, of loaning a sum of money to Roanoke College not exceeding ten thousand dollars; by Mr. Duckwall, of authorizing the Commissioners to audit and settle the accounts for services at Harper's Ferry and its neighborhood, during the John Brown raid; to reconsider the claim of the 89th Regiment, of Morgan county, and make such allowance to that Regiment as may seem equitable and just; by Mr. Jones, of Appomattox, of altering the Code so as to provide that no person shall be elected or appointed as Director in a Bank, unless he is a stockholder in said Bank.
