on, as the property of the defendant, on the two-fold ground alleged in the information--first, of alleged use of property by Mr. Wiley in aid of the rebellion, under the act of 1861, and second, of alleged treasonable acts of Mr. Wiley, under the act of 1862. The motion to dismiss this cause was announced by Mr. Laroque in its support. It is understood that the constitutionality of the act of Congress prescribing the test oath is now before the Supreme Court, on the application of A. H. Garland, of Arkansas. The whole question will be presented on Friday next. Washington, December 9.--The only pardons granted to-day were those to a few Texans. The State Department is still besieged, however, by those who heretofore received the Executive clemency, and who are now anxious to receive their respective papers. Quite a crowd of visitors were at the White House to-day, including members of Congress. The Representatives from Ohio and Kentucky were among those who had
