Drunk and disorderly. --Alice Hardgrove, a white woman of bad character, was arraigned before Recorder Caskie yesterday on the charge of being drunk and disorderly. She was found regaling a crowd of men and boys in the street with a selection of language culled from a vocabulary of the lowest order, and rendered it necessary for some of the by-standers to prevent her from molesting respectable ladies who were passing along. She was signed off in a pastry old muslin dress, which had seen better days, under which was worn a set of hoops of the most ample dimensions; her head dress constituted a dirty towel, through the fringe of which she pepped shyly at the Recorder.--When asked if she had any questions to put to the witness, she promptly answered in the Negative, and seemed to regard her offence as one of too trivial a character to need any defence. Her punishment was commitment to prison for want of security in the sum of $300.
