Fire on Shipboard at New York. --Shortly before 12 o'clock on Sunday night, the first class ship William Dell, belonging to Boyd & Hinckers' live of Haven packed, was directed to be on fire in the harbor of New York. The alarm was not given until two hours after the fire broke out and a number of passenger on board narrowly escaped with their lives. The burning ship was finally towed over to the Jersey flats, where she was settle. She was loaded with an assorted cargo of grain, pork, cotton, and a small invoice of navels and the ship and cargo are value at least at $500,000. She was to have for Europe yesterday morning.
