Cases of drunkenness. --R. D. McGill was before the Mayor yesterday charged with having been drunk and disorderly in the house of A. B. Moore. Mr. Moore stated that he came to his boarding-house two days previously and behaved very well until Wednesday, when he got drunk, behaved in a very turbulent manner, and used profane language. The accused said he was a discharged soldier of the United States army, and was from Philadelphia. The Mayor required him to give security to keep the peace, but afterwards discharged him on condition of his leaving the city at once. William J. Hill was charged with having been drunk in the First Market. Being his first appearance, and as he was charged with no other offence except drunkenness he was released with the usual admonition.
