Declines a re-election. --Dr. Charles M. Hubbard, the present able Senator from the Williamsburg District, has announced his intention of retiring from public life at the end of the present session of the General Assembly.
He by no means repudiated the Peace Conference propositions, nor did he think less of them than heretofore. Mr. Wise replied, arguing that the two propositions — that of the Peace Conference and that of the committee — were not the same, but that the former had undergone essential changes.
