--The following from the Louisville Journal is really a truthful (rare article for that paper!) account of how volunteering for the Yankees is progressing in that section of the State:
To the Editors of the Louisville Journal:
Camp All Pay, Oct. 30, 1861.
Gentlemen: We are getting up a company of 100 captains and 4 high privates.
We will draw three months wages in advance.
We have our quota of captains, but find great difficulty in getting the high privates Large regiments of colonels might be raised in this way, and thus put down the rebellion that the preachers, editors, teachers, and politicians have brought upon us.
