--Officers Morris and Perrin had a long chase after an accused party yesterday morning.
Learning that persons suspected of garroting P. L. Gregory were lurking about 7th and Cary streets, they went there to make a search.
As they entered one tenement James Smith left another, and, the officers discovering him, started in pursuit.
