Themanating from personalities like Norton's and Stedman's, come to flower long after the hand that caeeply interesting and intensely instructive. Stedman once said that she was the natural companion ere Edwin Percy Whipple (1819-86) and Edmund Clarence Stedman (1833-1908). Whipple is a critic whosn mind. In agreeing with this point of view, Stedman, in his Poets of America (1885), expands the al affairs of everyday life.
