Death of a soldier. --Mr. Thos. A. Snead, from Lunenburg county, of the 20th Virginia Regiment, died at the St. Charles Hospital last evening. His funeral will take place today at 12 o'clock, from the Hospital. His friends are requested to attend.
Runaway --$10 reward --Ran away from W. T. Davis, of Lunenburg county, his man, Dick. Cole. purchased of W. F. Watkins, Esq., of Charlotte county. Dick is a stout mulatto man, about five feet ten inches high, with long face and high cheek-bones. His wife belongs to W. R. Pugh, and is in the service of Mr. Powell, Inspector at Public Warehouse, Richmond. Dick is probably lurking about Richmond. The above reward will be paid for his apprehension and delivery to me, or confinement in jaitout mulatto man, about five feet ten inches high, with long face and high cheek-bones. His wife belongs to W. R. Pugh, and is in the service of Mr. Powell, Inspector at Public Warehouse, Richmond. Dick is probably lurking about Richmond. t No. 8. The following order was entered in the Confederate States District Court yesterday Judge Halynorton presiding: "Confederate States as, Geo. L. Bayne, defendant, on a petition to sequestrate the property of Michael Ryan, an alien enemy. It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court by the report of Thomas T. Giles, (a Receiver appointed under the act of the Congress of the Confederate States concerning the sequestration of the estates of alien enemies, that the property and effects in the hands of the defendant, enumerated in the exhibit marked 'A,' and flied in this case, are likely to be wasted or destroyed, it is ordered that the said Receiver make sale of the said property and effects, either privately or publicly, at the discretion, and on such terms as he may deem best; and if sold publicly, that the said sale be made after such notice as the said Receiver may deem proper." The exhibit above alluded to comprises a lot of personal property in Lunenburg county, Va.
