After all deductions — including the semi-annual dividends, $606 729; the extra dividend, $3 033 060, and the entire interest accrued thereon, $545,950 80 it is stated that the profit and loss account presents a surplus of $3,741.146 36. Since the final settlement of the suits upon the extra dividend question the Board has paid in full the entire amount of accrued interest. Springfield,Ill., Nov. 19--The Bank Commissioners have been in session here for several days, and have issued a call upon twenty two banks in this State for additional security, in amounts varying from three to eight per cent, of their circulation, to be paid within thirty-five days. The deficit is less than $300,000. No doubt is entertained that the banks embraced in the call will promptly respond. The circulation of the other banks of the State, numbering nearly one hundred, is amply secured.
