100 dollars reward. --Ranaway on the morning of the 4th inst, from my farm above B. W. Green's, in Henrico county, my negro man, named Cornelius. He is about five feet high, dark complexion, twenty-four years old, rather stout — When addressed speaks very quickly and low. He wore a gray military jacket, and a black homespun cape. He is box-ankled, and has on a pair of red government shoes. I will give the above reward for his delivery to me, or to any jail where I can get him. Jacob Corn. troyed in the fire which consumed the old Court room some time last summer. Barton was thereupon discharged. On the petition of James R. Farrell, claiming that he is illegally detained in custody by Lt. J. T. Eubank, commanding company 1,32d Regiment N. C. troops, and praying a writ of habeas corpus, said writ was awarded him, returnable before the said Court on the 11th day of February. Security in the sum of $10,000 was required of Michael Roseberry, committed to the jail of Henrico county by order of Wm. F. Watson, C. S. Commissioner, on the charge of felony, that he appear before the Confederate Court on the 10th day of the present month, to answer said charge. Thomas V. Carr was required to give security in the sum of $10,000 to appear before the C. S. Court on the 10th inst. to answer an indictment by the Grand Jury for a misdemeanor. Marriage licenses. --During the year 1863 the number of marriage licenses issued from the Clerk's office of Henrico county was two hundred and twenty-nine. For the year 1862 two hundred and eighteen licenses were issued, being an increase for the year 1863 over 1862 of eleven. Twenty-eight have already been issued since the 1st of January, 1864, which indicates that the number of marriages that will take place the present year will far exceed that of the one just past.
