landed in the West India Docks. Sombrero is situate near the Dutch island of St. Martin, in the West Indies, and is the property of Messrs. Wood & Sons, of New York, who are said to hold it under the protection of the United States Government. The discovery of the guano deposits on the island is of recent date.
