Relief for the Volunteers. We hear that lists of subscription for the relief of the families of those volunteers of the city who give their services to the State, but whose families are dependent on their personal exertions, have been left at the Dispatch, Whig, Enquirer and Examiner offices, headed by liberal subscriptions of $500 each from Wm. Gray, M. S. Valentine, Jos. Allen, and J. P. Taylor. It is important, however, that a regular system should be adopted for the accomplishment and regulation of this valuable object, and for this purpose it is suggested that a meeting of the citizens who wish to contribute to raising a fund for the purpose indicated, will be held at the Merchants' Insurance office, on Wednesday, 24th inst. We trust there will be an immense attendance.
The Authorities commenced yesterday the erection of an immense stable for State use on the capasions lot corner of Broad and 11th streets, owned by M. S. Valentine, Sr.
