Wheaton, who has at last been ordered to support McCandless, advances on the right of the latter with Nevin's brigade, followed by that of Bartlett; but it is too late, ar regiments, rectifying their positions, and collecting the wounded: Birney about nine o'clock has made a portion of his soldiers, who are following the tracks of Wheaton's troops, advance toward the battlefield, which is still covered with their dead comrades.
