1863. William B. Beard, died March 4, 1863, and John F. Hall on March 12, 1863. Joseph McCalpine died March 1, 1863, of wound received at Fredericksburg December 13, 1862. The next regular time for mustering and preparing pay-roll was June 30, 1863, but it appears that at that time the battery was on the march into Pennsylvania, and this ceremony was omitted till August 18, 1863.
