. It is designed as a gift book, and so far as mechanical execution goes, is a very superb affair. If the Knickerbocker standard of excellence in a book — viz: its avoirdupois weight — be correct, this is a very precious volume, for it outweighs any we have seen. It has other recommendations, however.
