The Legislature. In the Senate, yesterday, two amendments were offered to the report of the Joint Committee on State and Federal Relations, adopted by the House on Thursday. By the report, the other States are invited to send Commissioners to Washington, by February 4th, to meet those of Virginia, to consult and advise on the existing state of public affairs, and suggest a remedy therefore. Pending discussion, the Senate adjourned. In the House, a bill was reported for the temporary relief of the Banks of the State.--Sundry resolutions were offered for the voluntary enslavement of free negroes, and one for repealing the law requiring the publication of Bank statements. Three important bills were passed unanimously, viz: the bill to create an Ordnance Department; the bill appropriating one million of dollars for the defence of the State, and the bill authorizing the issuing of one million dollars' worth of Treasury notes, in sums not less than twenty dollars.
