Napoleon, Joseph Charles Paul, now on a visit in Washington, is a son of the late exkink Jerome and Frederica Catharina, princess of Wurtemberg. He was born on the 9th of September, 1822, at Trieste, on the Adriatic, and passed his early years in Italy, where his parents, after the downfall of the old Napoleon, resided, the father under the title of Count of Montfort.
