Legislature of Virginia.Senate. Monday, Dec. 9, 1861. The Senate was called to order by Mr. Johnson, of Bedford, who submitted the following letter from the President: Richmond, Dec. 8, 1861. To the Members of the Senate of Virginia: Gentlemen — I have just received by telegraph the painful intelligence of the death of one of my children.
