The Senate bill, reported yesterday from the Committee on Finance, to amend and re-enact the 13th section of chapter 42 of the Code, in relation to executions levied on lands in favor of the Commonwealth, was reported back from the House with amendments, which were adopted, and the bill as amended was passed. Executive communication. A communication was received from the Governor, enclosing a communication from Hon. J. P. Benjamin, Secretary of War, covering a printed letter prepared by the acting Commissioner of Indian Affairs, with a statement in regard to certain Indian trust funds; and the same being read, was ordered to be printed and referred to the Committee on Finance and Claims. The Senate then went into secret session upon the Military Bill. After several hours spent in consideration of the same, the doors were again opened, and the Senate adjourned.
