Yankees in Monroe. Intelligence has reached this city by passengers coming through, that about eighty of the Yankee cavalry made their appearance at Sweet Springs, Monroe county, on Wednesday last, and left after searching the Post-Office and robbing the mail. They told the citizens they only came to inform them that they were under the Government of Pierpont, and that there was a sufficient force in the neighborhood to protect the loyal citizens, and enforce obedience to their Government.
