Fifty dollars reward — Stop the Runaway
--I will pay the above reward of $50 for the apprehension and delivery to me, or confinement in jail so I can get him again, of my boy John.
He says he was raised in Green county by Mr. George Blakey, is about 20 years old, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, of a brown or gingerbread color, very likely, we gas about 165 pounds, had on when he left an old military cam, his shoes were nearly worn out; he wears an old blue military coat pretty much worn out in the back, with brass button; he sometimes wears a Yankee shirt, (blue) and carries his cloth is in a knapsack; he has been in the army and I think it probable he will try and hire himself out in the army again as a free boy.
