The Relief Committees of the city suburbs are laboring earnestly to provide for the necessities of soldiers' families, and to prevent suffering. In Henrico county, east of Richmond, many helpless families have been made to feel that they are not to be deserted or forgotten while their protectors are in their country's service, and we are glad to learn that the ladies of Church and Union Hills are giving their time to the "Relief Committee," as visitors. By proper management every soldier's family will be saved from suffering this winter. In this city the distributors of the necessaries of life are active and attentive, and if money will secure supplies, want and distress will not be known in our midst. Very many families will need but little aid to keep them comfortable, and this can be rendered them by private contributions and at small cost to those who are ever giving to their less fortunate neighbors.
