--Gov. Letcher stated in his address at Danville, Va., that the late "Stonewall"Jackson was in favor of conducting this war under the black flag, and so expressed his sentiments to him seven days after the secession of Virginia, proposing to set the example himself by first carrying that flag in the face of the enemy.
