Fire. --The alarm of fire about three o'clock yesterday was caused by the burning of an old brick building about a half mile beyond Chimborazo Hospital, which was formerly tied by Messrs Jones, Jacobs & Co. as a distillery. It was doubting the work of an incendiary, though a report was in circulation late in the afternoon that some parties engaged in one of the fortifications nearest the city, while experimenting with cannon, accidentally fired a shell in the direction of the building, which exploded and act it on fire.
