A fast locomotive. --The "Edgar Snowden" is the name of a small engine brought blither from the Alexandria and Washington Railroad, which has been repaired at the shops of the Central Railroad Company, in this city. Its speed has been tested. and proved to be very rapid; but its power of draft is not sufficient to make it available for heavy service over the road in this vicinity.
