East India (search for this): article 14
Lieut. Dulaney A. Forrest. --Why does not somebody somewhere exert himself in effecting the release of this gentleman? His parole has nearly expired, and up to this time nothing, absolutely nothing, definite has been effected towards his freedom and release. He left here two years ago, more or less, in the steamer Decotah, for a cruise in the East Indies. On the return home in that vessel he resigned his commission in the navy of the old Government, to join the Southern "rebellion," and on reaching the Cape of Good Nope he was sent home a prisoner.--Norfolk Day Book.
