Columbus (Georgia, United States) (search for this): article 6
Gold Falling. --The Columbus (Ga.) Times, of Monday, says: "Gold on Friday was offered here at 15, and in Mobile, on the same day, it sold for but 16. If the recent currency act has not something to do with this, we would like to know what has. It matters little, however, what is the price. It is sufficient to know that it is going down with us and up with our enemies. Montgomery, Ala., gold is quoted at $17."
