The Concert of Thursday night at the Metropolitan Hall was an excellent entertainment. Madame Ruhl executed her portion of the music in a most admirable manner. We would particularize the Casta Diva, which was given with a chasteness seldom surpassed, the pleasure of which was enhanced by her lady like demeanor. Herr Broun is a marvel, when we consider the excellence he has attained upon the two most difficult of instruments, the violin and violoncello, on both of which he showed a perfect mastery, displaying an ease of manner even when executing the hardest passages of Erust's Carnival of Venice. The morceaux were well accompanied by Mr. Buriage on the piano. The audience was decidedly the most refined of the season, and the house was filled.
