I.a maritime town of lonia, the birthplace of Bias, the mod. Samsoon, Cic. Par. 1, 1, 8: “plures esse, Bias, pravos, quem clara Priene, etc.,Aus. VII. Sap. Lud. 11, and Biant. 1.—Hence,
