cassel cup
In shape, a variety of the Band cup, but somewhat flatter and smaller. The most important difference from the Band cup is in the painted decoration: while the Band cup leaves only a small reserved band on the body, the Cassel cup usually covers the lip of the cup with tongues and the body with decorative patterns; rays are common above the stem. The decorative scheme seems to have been derived from the Siana cup. The Cassel cup is in use from approximately 530 B.C. to 500 B.C.
