RAMISTA (Formin) Yugoslavia.

A settlement mentioned in the Peutinger Table as being 10 miles (in It. Burd. 561.7:9) to the E of Poetovio on the road to Mursa. The most recent investigations of the course of the Roman road have shown that it crossed the Drau at Formin (to the B of Ptuj) and ran to Petrijanec (Aqua Viva). Both the distance mentioned and the quantity of different archaeological elements (Late Iron Age settlement with necropolis, Roman houses) near the fork in the road for Carnutum indicate that the riverbank settlement and road station with landing-place should be sought in Formin.
