SAINT-PÉ-D'ARDET
Haute-Garonne, France.
The Church of Saint-Pé-d'Ardet was built on the site
of a pagan sanctuary where Jupiter Optimus Maximus
was worshiped along with the local divinities, Artahe and
Idiatte, and the deified mountains. The sanctuary was
surrounded by a necropolis which has produced many
cremation graves.
