A.anything belonging to the neck or throat, necklace, Od.18.300.
2. ἴσθμια, τά, pharynx, fauces, Hp.Dent.21, Nic. Al.191,615, unless = παρίσθμια.
II. neck of a bottle, ἴσθμιον ἀμφιφορῆος Poet. ap. Suid.; big-bellied bottle with a long neck, Cypr. word in Pamphil. ap. Ath.11.472e; v. ἴσφνιον.
2. curb-stone of a well, Phot., Moer.
3. part of dagger, perh. the guard, Philet. ap. Ath. 15.677c.
