2. used by Hom. only in aor. Pass., sleep, “κατακοιμηθῆναι” Il.2.355, Hdt.2.121.“δ᾽; κατακοιμηθήτω” Il.9.427; “κατακοιμηθέντες ἐν τῷ ἱρῷ” Hdt.1.31; “ὃς ἂν ὑπαίθριος κατακοιμηθῇ” Id.4.7, cf. Plb.3.67.2 (v.l.); imper. pres. “κατακοιμάσθω” Ar.Th.46 (anap.).
