A.the finest wheaten flour, Hp.Vict.2.42, Acut.(Sp.) 53, Ar.Fr.412, Hermipp.63.22, Stratt.2 (who has gen. -ιδος), LXX Ge.18.6, al., Apoc.18.13, etc.; σεμιδάρεως is an error in POxy.736.82 (i A.D.):—hence σεμι^δα_λίτης [ι_] ἄρτος, , bread made of σεμίδαλις, Hp.Vict.2.42, PPetr.3p.179 (iii B.C.), Diph.Siph. ap. Ath.3.115c, Trypho ib. 109c, Ath.Med. ap. Orib. 1.2.2, etc.:—also σεμιδάλιν ( = -ιον), τό, PLond.2.190.45 (iii A.D.), Gloss. (Cf. Assyr. samīdu, Aram. semīdā in same sense.)
