Thphr.Sens.66, Epicur.Ep.2p.50U.; ἀταρπὸς ς. a rugged path, Leon. l.c.; ς. φλέψ a slanting vein, Hp.Anat.1; ἀριθμὸς ς. odd number (v. ἰσοσκελής), Pl.Euthphr. 12d, cf. Nicom.Ar.2.16; τρίγωνον ς. a triangle with unequal sides, Ti.Locr.98b, cf. Call.Iamb.1.125; τὸ ς. Arist.APo.84b7; κῶνος ς. oblique cone, Apollon.Perg.Con.1 Def.1.3; cf. σκαληνής. (Prob.akin to σκολιός.)
