ἀμπέχω ἀμπί aeolic for ἀμφί.

I.to surround, cover, Lat. cingere, c. acc., Od., Soph., etc.:—absol., σκότος ἀμπίσχων surrounding darkness, Eur.
2.to embrace, id=Eur.
II.to put round, Lat. circumdare, esp. to put on another, c. dupl. acc., Ar., etc.
2.Mid. to put round oneself, to wear, χλαίνας οὐκ ἀμπισχοῦνται id=Ar.; ἀμπισχόμενος with your cloak round you, id=Ar.
