1.to cut in pieces, cut up, Hdt., Ar., etc.: so in Mid., Eur.:— Pass., τελαμῶσι κατατετμημένοις with regularly cut bandages, Hdt.; σπλάγχνα κατατετμημένα Ar.
3.c. dupl. acc. κ. τινὰ καττύματα to cut him into strips, Ar.:—Pass., κατατμηθείην λέπαδνα may I be cut up into straps, id=Ar.
4.κ. τὸν Πειραιᾶ to lay it out for building, Arist.:—Pass., πόλις κατατέτμηται τὰς ὁδοὺς ἰθείας has its streets cut straight, Hdt.
5.to cut into the ground, κατετέτμηντο τάφροι there were trenches cut, Xen.
