With the access. idea of regard to an object to be attained, to move, bring, or apply a thing to; e. g. admovere aures (or aurem), to lend an ear to: manus (or manum) operi, to put one's hand to a work, etc.: accessi, adstiti, animam (my breath) compressi, aurem admovi, Ter.
