Bagistănus

（Βαγίστανος). A mountain of Media, southwest of Ecbatana, and sacred to Zeus. Here Semiramis (q.v.) formed a park or garden of twelve stadia in circumference, and cut her image on the face of the rock (Diod. Sic. ii. 13). Alexander is said to have visited the spot.
