Clitus

Κλεῖτος). A familiar friend and fosterbrother of Alexander, who had saved the king's life in battle. Alexander killed him with a javelin in a fit of inebriety, because, at a feast, he preferred the actions of Philip to those of his son. See Plut. Alex. 16, 50-52.
