Dalmatĭca

or Delmatĭca (δαλματική, δελματική). A tunic with long sleeves ( Orig. xix. 22, 9), introduced at Rome in the second century A.D. It was made both with and without purple stripes, and was sometimes of wool and sometimes of silk. See Clavus Latus; Tunica.
