Quinquennalia

Roman games instituted by Nero in A.D. 60, in imitation of the Greek festivals (πεντετηρίδες). They included contests in music, gymnastics, and equestrian feats, and were also known from their founder as Neronia or the Agon Neroneus (Suet. Nero, 12). See Ludi.
