HERMI´NIUS MONS (
τὸ ὄρος Ἑρμίνιον:
Sierra de la Estrella), a mountain range of Lusitania, S. of the river Durius (
Douro), a position of some importance in Caesar's campaign in Lusitania. (

In the middle ages it was still called
Hermeno and
Arminna (Resendius,
Antiq. Lusit. p. 58; Link,
