MYSOCARAS

MYSOCARAS (Μυσοκόρας, Ptol. 4.1.3), a harbour on the W. coast of Mauretania, near the Phuth, probably the same as the CARICUS MURUS (Καρικὸν τεῖχος) of Hanno (p. 2, ed. Hudson; comp. Ephor. ap. Steph. B. sub voce now Aghous, near the Wad Tensift, where Renou's map of Marocco marks ruins. (Geog. Graec. Min. vol. i. p. 4, ed. Müller, Paris, 1855.)
